What you'll do

Joining a small group of riders, you'll experience the thrills of exploring London by bike. On a bike, you'll cover more ground and beat the traffic jams and gridlock! Feel the freedom and wind in your hair as you soak up 2000 years of British history and culture.
You'll get an exciting introduction to London’s most iconic landmarks and Royal Palaces. Get to know it's charms and discover secret gems along the way. There's also time to stop for photos at each location - and your guide will happily take pictures for you.
Following back streets and dedicated bike lanes, you'll ride from Lambeth Palace over the River Thames into picturesque Westminster. Cycle past beautiful old buildings and see how the locals live.
You'll spin via leafy St James's Park to Buckingham Palace, the home of the Queen. And if we're lucky, we'll see the Queen's Guards in their dapper uniforms. You may even catch the Horseguards on parade too!
Landmarks Fox
As no trip to London is complete without a visit to a quintessentially British pub, we'll pit-stop at Covent Garden's oldest boozer to enjoy a pint of beer (optional).
Finally, it's time to leave your mark on London... You'll get to try your hand at graffiti at a hidden street art zone made famous by Banksy. We provide spray paint!

Good to know: Changing of the Guard

The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace occurs on select dates and times, please see the schedule here. On guard change days our morning bike tours see some of the highlights of the ceremony. These are our most popular timings, so book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Harry Potter Locations 🧙‍♂️

On the Landmarks & Gems bike tour you'll also discover J. K. Rowling's inspiration for Diagon Alley, and cycle over the same bridge where the Knight Bus squeezes through the double decker buses in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the ride start?

Landmarks & Gems starts from The Walrus Bar, 172 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7RW, London. The closest underground station is Lambeth North (Bakerloo line).

Where does it end?

The ride ends back at our secret HQ next door to The Walrus Bar.

What if it rains?

Rides operate rain or shine. We have free ponchos available in the event of rain. However, if we decide that weather will effect the safety of a trip, we will offer to rearrange or refund your booking.

Can I leave my luggage?

Yes! We have secure storage at our bicycle HQ. Please note, luggage can not be left for any longer than the duration of your bike ride unless with prior arrangement.

Do you go on roads?

We use a mix of bike lanes, back streets, park paths and roads. The route is designed to be as safe as possible for mixed cycling abilities. But please be aware that London is an urban environment and can be busy and unpredictable at times. Riders must have basic 'street sense'.

Do you allow kids?

This ride includes a visit to a pub which does not allow under 18's at the bar. However, there is seating upstairs and outside, and there are other nearby options too. If you're ok with that, then teens (13+) are welcome to join the ride so long as they are a minimum of 55 inches / 140 cm tall. If you have younger / smaller kids, we recommend booking a private tour so that we can tailor the experience especially for your family.

Is there a lunch break?

The pub stop is just a brief 20 minutes to enjoy a pint or soft drink and use the facilities. Unfortunately, there isn't time for a full sit-down meal. But there are bar snacks if you're peckish!

What if I'm late?

We know that sometimes travel plans don't work out as expected. Unfortunately, once your ride has departed it's not possible to catch up. But if you let us know of any issues before your scheduled departure time, then we'll do our best to book you onto a later trip.

The London Gin safari bike tour was marvellous. The historical stories that our guides Katie and Jasper told along the journey and the facts about gin were very interesting. Of course the gin shots and cocktails were enlightening and I realised that gin can even be a enjoyable drink to have.

We had a great afternoon with the traditional Pashley byciles, great weather and a varied tour through the main attractions of London and also through a few winding streets away from the crowds. Our tour guide Jasper made it an entertaining tour with many anecdotes to the history of the city.

I mean who doesn’t love the pairing of gin and cycling 😂. A Fantastic day out with two brilliant hosts Katie and Jasper. The tour was interesting, animated and well balanced between gin stops, facts and cycling. I felt our guides really cared about everyone having a good time and the company is stylish and well organised. Good for both tourists and locals.

Our family (4 adults) had a fantastic tour with Olivia! We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous weather day and enjoyed the combination of history and humor throughout the ride. The bikes were comfortable and convenient with the basket on the front, we felt safe the entire time, and getting to the tour start was easy/hassle free. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy way to see a lot of London's major sites and learn something new even if you've been to London before.

The best way to explore and learn about London. I would say this was one of the best tours I have been on. Jasper was an amazing guide, knowledgeable and friendly. Tally Ho is a must do when you come to London.
